The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided the house of Chaitanya Baghel, son of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel, this morning. It is being told that this action is related to money laundering in the liquor scam. For the last few years, the political atmosphere has been hot in Chhattisgarh over allegations of liquor scam. In this connection, the ED has raided the premises of Bhupesh Baghel and his colleagues several times.
According to ED sources, this step was taken after getting evidence of money laundering. On this occasion, Bhupesh Baghel taunted social media and wrote that today is the birthday of the son, the central government has sent the gift. As soon as the news spread that the ED team is raiding at Bhupesh Baghel’s house, Congress workers reached there in large numbers. The activists started shouting slogans by sitting on the ground on both gates of the house. According to local media reports, there has been stone pelting on ED vehicles.
