Two Naxalites were arrested in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh and explosives were recovered from them. One of which had a reward of 1 lakh rupees. A police officer gave this information to a news agency.

An official said that during an area dominated exercise in Keralapal area, the local police and Chhattisgarh Armed Forces arrested Muchaki Deva (36) and Muchaki Joga (32).

He said that Joga, which was a reward of Rs 1 lakh, was the commander of the Chetna Natya Mandali (CNM) under the Gogunda Panchayat of the banned organization CPI (Maoist). While Deva was its militia member.

The official said that a tiffin improvised explosive device (IED), two detonators and corex wires (used in bombs) were seized from him. He said that after the arrest, both of them told the police that they were planning to target the security personnel from the explosives seized from them. Deva and Joga were produced in the local court, from where they were sent to jail.
