In 2018, Gopal Khemka’s son was also shot dead in Hajipur in a land dispute case. After this, he was given security, which was withdrawn in April 2024, he did not demand security again after this.
Let me tell you that after Gopal Khemka was shot in front of the house, the family took him to the private hospital where the doctors declared Gopal Khemka dead. A bullet and a cartridge have been recovered from the scene of the incident. Investigation and surrounding CCTV footage are being investigated by the forensic team.
Bihar Police DGP Vinay Kumar said that in the initial investigation, there is a possibility of old rivalry. A special investigation team (SIT) has been formed, which includes Special Task Force and Central District Police officials. Important clues have been found on the basis of some technical and scientific evidence, so that the police can soon reach the killers.
Political movement increased due to murder
At the same time, this massacre has created a political stir in Bihar in the election year. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has taken this incident seriously and called a review meeting of law and order on Saturday, in which he has directed to complete the case soon and strict action against the culprits.
At the same time, Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha met the bereaved family and said, “This is not only a murder but a challenge to law and order, if needed, criminals will also be encountered.”
Opposition told ‘Jungle Raj’
After the incident, politics in the state has also intensified. Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, Congress spokesperson Rajesh Rathore, and MP Pappu Yadav have targeted the government, calling it a sign of Jungle Raj. This incident has once again raised questions on the law and order of Bihar.
