A heartbreaking incident has come to light in Agamkuan police station area of Patna City. Vikas Kumar (23), who hails from Delhi, committed suicide by hanging himself in his rented house after being stopped from playing PUBG (BGMI) game. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem and started investigating the case.
Manita Kumari, wife of the deceased Vikas, says that he always used to play PUBG game and used to run home by earning money through the game. Whenever he was prevented from playing the game, he used to threaten suicide. At the time of the incident, Manita went to join her aunt’s house Chaiti Chhath festival.
Youth committed suicide by hanging
The last time I spoke to the husband on the phone at 5 in the morning, in which he refused to play the game again. After some time, the landlord called and told that Vikas has committed suicide. Manita’s aunt Shakeela Devi said that Vikas used to earn money by investing money in PUBG game and this used to run the house expenses. He used to play the game on mobile day and night, from which Manita used to stop her.
Police registered a case and started investigation
According to Ramayan Singh, a sub-inspector of Agamkuan police station, the young man committed suicide by hanging himself. Family members said that he was addicted to playing the game and due to this there was a dispute between the husband and wife. At present, the police is investigating at all points.
