Vijay Rupani’s early education was done in Rajkot. Vijay Rupani’s mind, who has a relationship with the family associated with business, was towards politics and social service.

Vijay Rupani, who came from Jain society, became the Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2016 in place of Anandiben Patel. After Narendra Modi, only other leader Vijay Rupani, who lived on the chair of the Chief Minister of Gujarat, got involved in the organization after leaving the chair. Even in the 2022 assembly elections, he had separated himself from the ticket race for Rajkot West Assembly seat.
