Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader C Sadanandan Master, who was nominated to the Rajya Sabha, said on Sunday (July 13, 2025) that the party high command’s decision and their new responsibility aim to achieve the basic goal of ‘developed Keralam’ (developed Kerala).
The BJP leader said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had indicated this new post during a conversation two days ago and came to know about being nominated this morning. Sadanandan Master is a politically unstable Kannur district and has been a victim of political violence. In 1994, both his legs were cut in an attack by alleged CPI (M) workers.
Active role in various party programs for many years
BJP leaders were earlier school teachers and have been actively involved in various programs and roles of the party for many years. He told the media, “National leadership, especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision, will strengthen the party’s activities and initiatives in Kerala.”
The BJP leader said that the BJP is at a delicate turn in Kerala and two important elections, local bodies and assembly elections are near. He said that the party leadership had recently given a message in this regard, in which ‘developed Keralam’ was described as its main objective.
Prime Minister will fulfill the goal of ‘developed Keralam’
The master said, ‘The party is organizing various programs to achieve this purpose and is taking decisions. Nomination for the Rajya Sabha can also be considered a part of this. The BJP leader said that the Prime Minister is paying special attention to the implementation of many programs beyond politics to achieve the goal of ‘developed Keralam’.
When asked about his priorities as the new member of the Rajya Sabha, the master said that as far as a person like him is concerned, service is his highest priority and it will be continued. The Prime Minister on Sunday appreciated him after nominating Sadanandan Master to the Rajya Sabha and said that his life is a symbol of courage and not being bowing to injustice.
Commendable work as teacher and social worker
Modi said, ‘Violence and threats could not stop their spirit towards the development of the nation. His efforts as a teacher and social worker are also commendable. He has deep faith in youth empowerment.
