Party President JP Nadda along with Organization General Secretary BL Santosh, all National General Secretaries, State President, State Organization General Secretary and Organization Election Incharge were present in the meeting.
A review meeting was held on Sunday at the party headquarters regarding the organizational elections of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The meeting focused on the election of Mandal, District and State officials.
Apart from this, the process of election of state presidents was also reviewed. BJP aims to complete elections for Mandal, District and State level posts in 50% of the states by January 15.
According to the Constitution of BJP, the election of the National President can be held only after organizational elections are held in at least half the states.
According to the constitution of BJP, the tenure of the party president is 3 years. In this context, the tenure of current President JP Nadda has ended in 2023.
His tenure was extended in view of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
West Bengal President Sukant Majumdar, Maharashtra President Chandrashekhar Bawankule and National General Secretary Dushyant Gautam were present in the meeting.
Age limit fixed for the post, importance given to youth The party has fixed the age limit to give importance to the youth in the organization. For this, the age of the Mandal President to be created within the districts has been fixed between 35 to 45 years.
Apart from this, those who have been Mandal President twice will not be given the post of Mandal President for the third time. At the same time, the age of the District President will be between 45 to 60 years.
It has also been made necessary for the District President to have experience of working in the organization for 7 to 8 years.
Apart from this, BJP has decided that at present only a person working on any post in the organization will be made the District President.
Election officers were appointed in October BJP had appointed officers for the internal elections of the party on the same day (October 15) of the announcement of Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections.
Party President JP Nadda had appointed Dr. K. Laxman, Rajya Sabha MP from Telangana, as the National Election Officer. Laxman is the national president of OBC Morcha since 2020.

Apart from this, Naresh Bansal, Rekha Verma, Sambit Patra were made National Co-Election Officers. All the national general secretaries and other office bearers of the party were appointed observers of different states.
