During the Patidar movement in Gujarat, cases were registered against many people of Patidar society. Several Patidar leaders, including Hardik Patel, who were part of the movement, criminal cases were registered. Now out of these, the Gujarat government has withdrawn 14 criminal cases, including two treason cases.
The withdrawal of the case by the Gujarat government has been announced by the leader of the Patidar Samaj and currently BJP MLA Hardik Patel. Aaj Tak held talks with Alpesh Kathiria, who was associated with the Patidar Reservation Movement Committee on this issue. He told that joining BJP has benefited. He said that 14 people have been known in this movement, which is sad.
There was an allegation of damage to property
In 2015, Sardar Patel Group took out the first rally in Visnagar demanding Patidar reservation. Hardik Patel and others involved in this rally were accused of vandalizing the office of BJP MLA. In this case, the court convicted Hardik and sentenced him to two years. Hardik went to the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court had stayed the sentence.
Heartfelt discussion after the rally in Surat
The 2015 rally for Hardik Patel was just beginning. When the BJP MLA’s office was vandalized, the discussion of Hardik’s name started. But Hardik came from Surat rally in the discussion. More than three lakh people were gathered in this rally under the banner of Sardar Patel Group and it started from here, agitation demanding Patidar reservation.
