Nishikant dubey on shashi tharoor: These days, the speculation of Congress leader Shashi Tharoor joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gaining momentum in the political corridors. It is being debated from social media to TV debates. Meanwhile, BJP MP Dr. Nishikant Dubey openly expressed his opinion on this subject in an interview given to a YouTube channel.
When asked if Shashi Tharoor is going to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he clearly said, “I cannot tell this. I have neither personal conversation with Tharoor, nor has any discussion on this subject in the party.”
IT committee mentioned Tharoor’s tenure
Nishikant Dubey said that when Shashi Tharoor was the chairman of the IT Standing Committee of Parliament, there were serious differences between him and Tharoor. He said, “I had so much fight with him that I had stopped going to the committee meeting for a year.”
According to Dubey, the Tharoor committee used to run through social media and political agenda, while he believed that the work of the committee was to provide long -term solutions, not to highlight themselves in the media. Giving an example of Pegasus detective dispute, he said that when the Supreme Court itself said that the allegations against the Government of India were wrong, Tharoor forced the issue to the committee and gave it a political form.
Private conversation did not happen on any stage with Tharoor
When Dubey was asked that recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shashi Tharoor and the picture of his together were seen on the page of My Government India, was there any conversation during this time? On this, Dubey said clearly, “No, I had no conversation with him. He was there as part of any other delegation. I was in a separate program. He was involved in the US delegation, but I had no personal conversation with him.”
Silence on speculation about going to BJP with Tharoor
There is a continuous speculation about Shashi Tharoor’s joining BJP, but Nishikant Dubey denied any kind of information on it. He said that he has not heard anything about this within the party, and has not even interacted with anyone on this subject.
