Pradeep purohit on PM modi: There is a ruckus in Maharashtra over Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Mughal ruler Aurangzeb. BJP MP from Bargarh, Odisha, Pradeep Purohit said in Parliament that PM Modi was Maratha Emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the previous birth. Speaking in the Lok Sabha, the BJP MP said that he had met a saint. He said that the saint allegedly told him that PM Modi was Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in his previous life. Pradeep Purohit further said that PM Modi is actually Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who has taken rebirth to take the entire country including Maharashtra towards development and progress.
BJP MP’s statement opposed in Parliament
Many members of the opposition, including the Congress, protested this statement of the BJP MP, after which Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav urged Asana that if this comment has hurt someone’s feelings, then it should be considered to remove it from the proceedings of the House.
