Hemant Khandelwal is an MLA from Betul seat. Five states were elected presidents of Himachal, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Telangana on the previous day.

Hemant Khandelwal was elected unopposed president of Madhya Pradesh BJP on Wednesday. It was announced by election in -charge Dharmendra Pradhan. Khandelwal filed nomination on Monday evening. Apart from him, no other nomination form was filled

The presidents of five states Himachal, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Telangana were also elected unopposed on the previous day. Rajiv Bindal was commanded for the third time in Himachal. At the same time, Mahendra Bhat became the President of Uttarakhand for the second time.

Ravindra Chavan in Maharashtra, PNV Madhav in Andhra Pradesh and Ramchander Rao in Telangana have been selected for the first time. There was a dispute over Ramchander Rao being nominated in Telangana. T. Raja, MLA from Goshamahal, resigned from the party on 30 June protesting.

After the election of new state presidents, the way for the election of BJP’s national president will be cleared. According to the BJP’s Constitution, the national president can be elected only after elections in 50% states.
