Delhi CM Rekha Gupta: Delhi has once again found a woman Chief Minister. Rekha Gupta, who was elected MLA for the first time, has been elected as the Chief Minister by the BJP High Command. She will be the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi. He was elected a leader in a meeting of the Legislature Party of Delhi at 8 pm on Wednesday (19 February).
There were many contenders for the post of Chief Minister in Delhi. From the former presidents of Delhi BJP to the current president and this time some candidates who defeated the big leaders of Aam Aadmi Party in the election were also beating. In the midst of all this, it was not an easy task to persuade the rest of the candidates on the selection of Rekha Gupta, who became MLA for the first time. In such a situation, the BJP once again adopted the same old formula which was adopted in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
The BJP proposed Rekha Gupta’s name from the biggest three contenders for the post of Delhi Chief Minister. In fact, Parvesh Verma, who defeated Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi assembly seat, was at the forefront of the CM race. Similarly, the name of Vijendra Gupta and Satish Upadhyay was also very much discussed. In such a situation, the BJP high command made these three leaders propose the name of Rekha Gupta for Delhi CM. This plan of BJP was also successful and without any tussle, Rekha Gupta’s name was agreed.
New CM’s entry was done in Madhya Pradesh with the same formula
Shivraj Singh Chauhan is a very strong leader in Madhya Pradesh. He was the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for two decades. The BJP also won the 2023 assembly elections on his face, but the BJP high command had already decided not to make him the Chief Minister. In such a situation, the observers proposed Mohan Yadav’s name for CM.
Vasundhara Raje proposed Bhajan Lal Sharma’s name in Rajasthan
Like Madhya Pradesh, the same method was adopted in Rajasthan. When the BJP won in the 2023 assembly elections, Bhajan Lal Sharma was made the CM in place of two -time Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. Then during the meeting of the legislative party, supervisor Rajnath Singh gave a letter to Vasundhara, in which Bhajanlal Sharma’s name was written. Vasundhara was shocked to see this name but she had to propose this name.

The same thing happened in Gujarat
The name of Bhupendra Patel was proposed by the then Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in Gujarat. The legislative party met in Gujarat after its resignation in September 2021. In this meeting, the BJP high command ordered Vijay Rupani to propose the name of Bhupendra Patel for the new Chief Minister of Gujarat. Vijay Rupani did the same and Patel was elected Chief Minister.
