In Madikeri, Karnataka, a 35 -year -old BJP worker allegedly committed suicide in Bangalore late on Thursday night. He has made serious allegations in his suicide note taking the name of Congress leaders.

According to the police, Vinay Somaiya was found hanging in his office in Nagwara, before suicide he posted a long suicide note on WhatsApp and Facebook. In this note with more than a thousand words, political developments have been convicted and many Congress leaders have been accused of harassment and pushing them on the shore.

‘FIR recorded inspired by politics’

The BJP leader in his suicide note claimed that he has been inspired by politics, which has made him a criminal in the eyes of the people. He also told that he was made an administrator of a WhatsApp group called ‘Kodagu problems and suggestions’, where a controversial message was posted. Five days before this post was done, he was made the administrator of this group. However, he denied any kind of relationship with himself, but he said that he has been held responsible for this post and an FIR has been registered.

Serious allegations against Congress leaders

He alleged that FIR is inspired by politics and Congress leader Teneera Maheena deliberately gave him the case, including his picture to defame him in Kodagu. Vinay was recently arrested by the Madikeri Town Police after Mahena filed a complaint against him.

Vinay also accused Congress MLA AS Ponnanna that he has directed the police to continue to harass him and his family even after getting bail.

He claimed that the police had gone to the house of his cousin and friends the next day after his release and said that he was falsely implicated to incite Kodwa-Gowda tension through a phone call, which he refused to do.

He insisted that he had forwarded only one voice message and its screenshot, yet he was targeted by the police case.

He asked, ‘Yes, I had sent messages, but only a screenshot I got to forward a voice message. Why was an FIR filed against me based on a random photo, but not for that voice message? Where is this justice? ‘

He alleged that Madikeri MLA Mantar Gowda personally called him and a scolded to raise questions about the situation of Kushalnagar Government Hospital in WhatsApp group. Vinay said that he has evidence that it was Gowda who had earlier called, not another.

In the emotional note, Vinay claimed that politics inspired not only attempted to tarnish his image, but also planned to register fake cases against him to prove him criminals again and again. He mentioned a person named Harish Puvaiya, who repeatedly posted derogatory message and his picture in the second WhatsApp group.

He wrote, ‘I have also come to know that I was tried to call me a miscreant and open a nuisance letter against me. All these people should be punished so that my death can get justice.

Vinay said that the High Court has already banned the FIR, yet his character is going on. He also mentioned another suicide that was reportedly on the same day, the day the wife of the month was hospitalized, he demanded that the officer investigate the relationship of the month with the matter.

He wrote, ‘Please cooperate my family in every possible way, socially and financially. If every member donates only one rupee, then this will protect the future of my wife and daughter. Please make sure that after my death my mother, wife, daughter and family are not disturbed and all rituals are done smoothly. ‘

‘Thank you many BJP leaders’

He thanked Pratap Simha, KG Bopaiah, Appachu Ranjan and other BJP leaders, who said that when the FIR was first registered, they supported them.

At the same time, the police has sent the body for postmortem and started initial investigation. However, he admitted that the suicide could be the reason for arrest and FIR, but he did not comment on the serious allegations made in the note.

BJP attacked

BJP leaders reacted sharply and described this incident as the result of political vengeance. Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly R Ashok described it as “100 percent political revenge” and alleged that the administration in Kodagu had turned into a “Congress office”.

He demanded immediate suspension of Kodagu SP and said, “Only after this investigation should go ahead.” He also mentioned the previous incidents where no action was taken and the law and order claimed to be completely destroyed.

Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Chalawadi Narayan Swamy also convicted the Congress government for the frequent incidents of suicide by BJP workers.

He said, “This is not the only case,” he demanded that the case be handed over to the CBI and an FIR should be registered against MLA Ponnanna and his associate. He said, “We do not want police or CID investigation.”

BJP state president BY Vijayendra expressed deep grief over Vinay’s death and demanded a fair and transparent inquiry.

He said in a statement, “Ever since the Congress government came to power, BJP workers are facing unnecessary harassment.” He demanded strict legal action against those responsible for Vinay’s mental trouble.

‘We will confirm this’

Reacting to the allegations, Karnataka Home Minister Dr. G Parmeshwar said that the concerned DCP will be investigated. He said, “Whatever has been broadcast on WhatsApp and social media. It cannot be true, we will confirm it. If this is found true then appropriate action will be taken.”

He said that the incident will be reviewed, no matter what its purpose is and assured that action will be taken on the basis of conclusions.
