The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested the senior auditor and two others posted at the Principal Controller of Defense Accounts (PCDA) office of the Ministry of Defense, taking a bribe of Rs 8 lakh. Two other accused arrested are a private defense supplier and his employees.

The CBI registered a case in this case on 7 February 2025. The complainant himself is also a defense supplier. He alleged that senior auditor and a private defense supplier had demanded a bribe of Rs 10 lakh in lieu of payment of bills already sanctioned.
