Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided Andaman and Nicobar Islands for the first time on Thursday. This action was taken under the investigation of loan fraud associated with Andaman and Nicobar State Cooperative Bank. Former Congress MP Kuldeep Rai Sharma is also accused.

The ED searched two places in Kolkata with Port Blair and 9 nearby places. The agency claimed that it had found documents that indicate fake loans worth Rs 200 crore. It is alleged that for the benefit of Kuldeep Sharma, 15 fake companies were made overdraft facilities.
