In West Bengal, the government is going to introduce a new bill in the next budget session, which will provide heavy fines on those who spit on the road by chewing paan masala or tobacco. The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting held at the State Secretariat ‘Nabanna’ on Tuesday.

A member of the cabinet said that the Chief Minister herself was angry at the increasing habits of spitting in public places, chewing tobacco and paan masala.
