A pickup van fell into a ditch 25-30 feet below in Papalwadi village of Maharashtra. The death toll in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune on Monday has increased to 10. Most women and children were in the pickup. A total of 9 women have died in the incident, all were farmers. She was going to the Kundeshwar temple for worship.
The Chief Minister of Maharashtra said that the state government will provide financial assistance of 4 lakhs to the families of the victims. More than 20 people have been injured in the accident, who have been admitted to various hospitals.

Air India’s Washington flights from Delhi to be closed
Air India is suspending flights between Delhi-Washington from 1 September. The decision has been taken due to lack of Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Those who have booked tickets after September 1, will either be booked in other flights or will be returned.
