- First, on December 10, 2023, a meeting of leaders of UP-Uttarakhand was called. In this, Mayawati declared Akash Anand, son of her youngest brother Anand Kumar, a successor. He had expressed confidence in his nephew to carry forward the legacy and politics of the party.
- On May 7, 2024, all the responsibilities were taken away due to misunderstanding. Akash was removed from the post of National Coordinator as well as his successor. Mayawati had said that Akash is currently immature (Imiture).
- 47 days later, Mayawati overturned her decision. On June 23, 2024, he was again successor and also handed over the responsibility of the National Coordinator, but on 2 March 2025, he again took away all the responsibilities from him. It was said- they are not his successor. He had said, ‘I will not have any successor in the party till my life and last breath.
- On March 3, he was dropped from the party itself. The sky had to show his maturity by repenting. However, the reaction given by Akash is not a political maturity. He has become selfish, egoistic under the influence of his father -in -law.
- Mayawati waived Akash on 13 April after 40 days. It was said- I will not make Akash a successor. His father -in -law’s mistakes are not forgiven.
- Now after 35 days, Akash is again given a big responsibility. He has been made Chief National Co-ordinator.

Mayawati wants to practice 3 goals through Akash
- Mayawati wants to attract Dalit youth through Akash. Right now Chandrashekhar is getting a challenge.
- Due to SP’s Rajya Sabha MP Ramji Lal Suman, the SP is engaged in mobilizing Dalits in the west. Akash is popular among Dalits, especially the youth. This will benefit the BSP.
- The Congress has passed a resolution in the Ahmedabad session about the Dalit-Adivasi and Backward in the Ahmedabad session. Mayawati was feeling uncomfortable with this. He had also taken a dig at the Congress on social media about this.

Akash entered politics in 2017 Akash Anand first appeared with Mayawati at a public meeting in Saharanpur in 2017. After this, he was constantly working as the party.
