Canada on khalistani extramism: Canada first admitted that Khalistani is using their land to spread violence and conspiracy against India. In the annual report submitted to Parliament, Canada’s intelligence agency (CSIS) said that Khalistani is using Canada as promoting violence in India, raising money or making plans. However, he has also accused India of intervention and espionage.
Canada made these serious allegations against India
The CSIS said that since the 1980s, Khalistani extremists in Canada (CBKE) have violently campaigned to create an independent Sikh state in Punjab. The report said, “Indian officials, including their Canadian proxy agents, are involved in many activities. They aim to influence Canadian communities and politicians.”
Told these countries threatened to Canada
It claimed that when these activities are misleading, secret or threatening, they are considered foreign intervention. India has already been dismissing such allegations made by Canadian officials. The report also states that China is the biggest intelligence threat to Canada. Apart from this, Pakistan, Russia and Iran have also been named in the report.
Indian foreign intervention promotes in Canada
The report claimed that the relations between the Government of India and the criminal network have been revealed from the Hardeep Singh Nijjar case. It said that Khalistani extremism is promoting Indian foreign intervention activities in Canada. India has categorically denied its involvement in Nijjar’s death and has also rejected allegations of intervention made by Canada.
Things deteriorated between the two countries after Nijjar’s assassination
After the assassination of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in British Columbia in 2023, there was a sharp tension in the relationship between the two countries. Canadian officials linked the murder with the intervention of the Indian government, which India denied, described these allegations as absurd and baseless. In response to this, India accused Canada of sheltering Khalistani extremists and ignoring their activities
