Car Falls Into Ditch Near Mumbai While Follow Google Maps

Google Maps helps people a lot during road trip. Everyone knows this thing, but sometimes people had to face trouble. Last week, on Friday morning, a woman in Navi Mumbai, while following the direction of Google Maps, accidentally fell into the ditch while going from Belapur to Ulve. Let us know about it in detail.

The woman was supposed to leave Bay Bridge in Belapur, but Google Maps showed her the way to Dhruvatara Jetty from under the bridge. The woman continued to follow the direction and after a few minutes the woman fell into the water. When the Marine Security Officer saw the accident and immediately pulled the woman out of the ditch, which was seen floating in the water. Within a few minutes the woman was rescued and she was not hurt. The woman’s car was also taken out of the ditch. In a video, officer is seen taking the white car out of the ditch with the help of a crane.

Let me tell you that this is not the first time people have been misled due to Google Maps and tragic accidents have also happened. Last year, a car going from Bareilly to Dataganj in Badaun district, navigating a bad bridge, fell into a river flowing 50 feet in Faridpur, in which three people died. On this accident, Google had said that they are helping the authorities in the investigation. Google said that “our deep condolences are with the families of the victims. We are working on it and are giving our support in the investigation of the case.”

Apart from this, a tourist group from Hyderabad fell into a river following Google Maps in Kerala. According to officials, the road on which they were traveling were covered with water flowing from the river due to heavy rains, as the tourists did not know about the area, so they fell straight into the river using Google Maps. However, all four had escaped completely safe.
