CBI Action in Mumbai Railway Station Master Arrested Red Handed Taking 9000 Rupees Bribe Ann

CBI Action: Taking a bribe of Rs 9,000 to the station master of Mumbai’s Mulund railway station, the CBI (CBI) arrested red handed. The accused is accused of demanding bribe from the railway station parking contractor every month and harassing him. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a case against the station master and laid a trap and caught him red handed taking bribe. This action was taken on 11 March 2025.

What is the whole matter?

The complainant was handling the parking work at Mulund railway station on behalf of a private company. It is alleged that in February 2025, the station master came to him and started asking for a bribe of Rs 10,000 every month. He said that if he is given a bribe every month, he will ignore the complaints and allow the parking work to run smoothly.

Contractor harassed for not paying bribe

When the complainant refused to bribe, the station master fined him twice and harassed him. After this, the bribe amount was fixed at Rs 9,000 per month after the conversation.

Bribe was being taken through sweeping employee

When the CBI came to know about the case, he laid a trap to catch the accused. The station master did not take the money directly and took a bribe through a sweeper of the station itself. As soon as he took the money, the CBI caught him red -handed.

Investigations can be released even more revelations

The CBI said that the investigation of the matter is still going on and there is a possibility that more evidence may come up against the accused. This major action of CBI is being considered against corruption in the railway.

Corruption in railway is not new

Cases of corruption in the railway have been revealed earlier. Many times station master, ticket collector and other officials try to earn money illegally. Incidents of seeking bribe from contractors and small businessmen are common. This not only spoils the image of the railway, but the passengers also have to face problems.

Administration appeal

The CBI and the railway administration have appealed to the people that if an officer asks for bribe, then complain immediately. Strict steps are being taken against corruption and the culprits will not be spared. After this incident, questions are being raised about curbing corruption in the railway. Now it has to be seen what steps the CBI takes in this matter.
