CBI Sucseed Bringing Two Wanted Criminals Suhail Bashir and Taufik Nazir Khan from Uae to India through Interpol Ann

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has succeeded in bringing two absconding wanted criminals Suhail Bashir and Taufik Nazir Khan from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) through the Interpol Channel. Both these criminals were wanted for a long time in the list of police of different states of India.

CBI’s International Police Cooperation Unit (IPCU) along with Abu Dhabi’s NCB and Kerala Police succeeded in bringing Suhail Bashir to India on 2 April 2025. The Kerala Police team reached Cochin International Airport with the accused. Suhail Bashir is accused in the rape of a minor girl lodged at Muwatupuzha police station in Ernakulam district of Kerala. A case has been registered against him under the POSCO Act and he was absconding since then. The CBI issued a red notice from Interpol on 2 December 2024.

In the second case, the CBI’s IPCU unit Abu Dhabi’s NCB also brought Taufik Nazir Khan back to India from UAE. He was wanted in a case registered at Bavlu police station in Mehsana district of Gujarat. He is accused of forgery under fraud and conspiracy. A red corner notice was issued against the accused on 25 February 2025 from Interpol. Taufiq was also brought to the Gujarat Police on 2 April 2025 by bringing the Cochin Airport.

India brought more than 100 criminals in the last few years
The CBI works as the National Central Bureau of Interpol in India and helps all the agencies of the country through Interpol through the Bharatpol system. Red notice issued by Interpol is sent to police agencies of the whole world so that criminals can be found and brought back. In the last few years, more than 100 criminals have been brought back to India in this way.
