CDS General Anil Chauhan in Singapore on Operation Sindoor Says India Red Line on Terrorism after Pahalgam Terror Attack Pakistan Asim Munir Shehbaz Sharif

CDS anil chauhan on strategic stability: India’s Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan said at the Shangri-La dialogue 2025 in Singapore that Pakistan will also have to fulfill its responsibility to maintain peace and stability in South Asia. He also informed that Pakistan is responsible for the increasing problems in this area.

He said, “The clap does not ring with one hand, Pakistan will also have to take steps for stability.” General Chauhan also clarified that operation vermilion was necessary because India’s stamina had crossed the boundary due to terrorism.

The reason behind the operation vermilion

General Chauhan clarified that India did Operation Sindoor because the limit of tolerance was exceeded. For the last two decades, a large number of Indian citizens and soldiers lost their lives due to the ongoing terrorism by Pakistan. CDS said that India has drawn a new red-line against terrorism. He said, “Pakistan will change its policy on terrorism by learning from this confrontation.”

Operation Sindoor’s strategy and achievements

During Operation Sindoor, India made a deep attack in Pakistan, using indigenous weapons and friendly weapons. General Chauhan described it as a demonstration of Indian military capabilities.
He said that the Army, Air Force and Navy used shared intelligence, planning and logistics in this operation. India will prepare its theater command by learning from the shortcomings found in the operation. However, the deadline for its preparation has not been fixed yet.

The CDS said that self -reliance does not mean making all kinds of weapons in India. India will need a partnership with friendly countries for self -sufficiency in the defense sector.
