The equation of power in Delhi was not very easy. The party with 48 MLAs had a big challenge to choose the appropriate Chief Minister and ministers. Although the BJP had not announced any name as the Chief Minister before the election, but many senior leaders were definitely fielded. So since then there was speculation that if the BJP government is formed, then there will be a close fight among many senior leaders with the post of Chief Minister.
Suspense in the name of Chief Minister remained till the last time
There were constant speculations about who would be the next Chief Minister of Delhi. The basis of guessing was also Delhi’s complicated ethnic and social equation. This time, 11 MLAs out of 48 MLAs came from the Jat community. In which Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma, who defeated Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi, was also included. Apart from this, the equation was also that Punjabi and Vaishya community, considered to be the core voters of BJP, should be given a proper place.

The current state president of Delhi Virendra Sachdeva and also in the central government, both of them from Delhi Harsh Malhotra were less likely that the Chief Minister would also be from this community. So finally the BJP played bets on the Vaishya community. But in this community too, the party had many options in which Vijendra Gupta’s name was at the top, which was the leader of the opposition in the previous assembly and also won the BJP twice in the Aam Aadmi Party wave. But BJP got a face to fit both women and Vaishya equations in the form of Rekha Gupta.
How were those leaders who were likely to be angry
But despite Rekha Gupta, the challenge before the party’s leadership was how to not let senior leaders be angry. Just before the meeting started, three senior leaders were called for a separate meeting. These leaders included Vijendra Gupta, Satish Upadhyay and Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma.
Two senior women leaders Alka Gurjar and Kamaljeet Sehrawat were asked to tell these leaders what the high command of the party wants. After the meeting that lasted about 10 minutes, these senior leaders were entrusted with the responsibility to propose the name of Rekha Gupta as the Chief Minister.

After the announcement of the name of the Chief Minister, the names of the ministers doing the caste equation together
In order to decide the name of the Chief Minister, ethnic and social equations were taken care of, but he had to do more challenging ministers with the faces of the ministers. In view of the elections in Bihar, two Purvanchal faces were given a place in the cabinet. While Kapil Mishra leads both Brahmins and Purvanchal communities, Pankaj Kumar Singh, who was elected from Vikaspuri for the first time, is Purvanchali Thakur. Ravish Verma has been represented by the Jat community by giving him a place, and Manjinder Singh Sirsa to the Sikh community.
