Who was Shri Narayan Guru, whom Mahatma Gandhi had a conversation with

Shri Narayan Guru (1856–1928) was a social reformer, philosopher and saint from Kerala. He worked against caste-based discrimination and gave the message of a caste, a religion, a God. When there was a conversation between these two celebrities, Mahatma Gandhi was traveling to remove untouchability across the country and spread social harmony. They met at the Shivgiri Math in Workla near Thiruvananthapuram, which was established by Narayan Guru.

During the discussion, Gandhiji had said that there should be no discrimination in the name of religion. At the same time, Narayana Guru argued that true religion is the one who talks about humanity, equality and compassion, not divided into classes.
