Chaitra navratri 2025: On the eighth day of Navratri i.e. Ashtami Tithi, Mother Gauri is worshiped by the eighth form of Mother Durga. He performed harsh worship to attain Lord Shiva and his body turned black due to that harsh worship. His body became very proud of Shiva ji’s philosophy and grace. Since then his name became Gauri.

On this day, start worshiping yellow clothes. After that light a lamp of ghee in front of the mother and then concentrate. Offer white or yellow flowers to the mother in worship. After that chant their mantras. If the worship of Mata Mahagauri is done at midnight, then its results will be more auspicious.
