55 laborers were trapped in Manda village in the avalanche in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. A rescue campaign is being conducted to save the workers. So far 50 laborers have been rescued. To save the workers, a campaign is being run under the leadership of the rescue team of IBEX Brigade. A total of 06 helicopters have been deployed to evacuate people due to the roads being blocked. Helicopters include 3 cheetah helicopters of Indian Army Aviation, 2 Cheetah Helicopters of Air Force. At the same time, a civil helicopter has also been included in the rescue campaign.

An official involved in the rescue campaign said that so far 50 people have been rescued. Unfortunately, the death of four injured persons has been confirmed. Priority is being given to remove the injured. The search operation is going on to save the remaining five people missing by the army.
Senior army officers have reached the accident site to monitor the ongoing rescue operations personally. At the same time, the Chief Minister himself is monitoring the whole matter.
