Champions tournament returning after 10 years, CSK won the trophy for the last time, now Kohli’s RCB has a chance

New Delhi. The Champions League T20 (CLT20) tournament is going to return after 10 years. Its second season is going to be more grand. During the ICC’s annual meeting, many countries including India have decided to get it again. If everything happens according to the plan, the league can be played at the beginning of the next year.

According to the website Cricbage, the International Cricket Board will soon meet to work on the Champions League T20 League outline. In the upcoming season of Champions League T20, a problem is going to be held with the honor of teams. Right now such teams play in the T20 league of many countries including IPL, which are owned by the same person or company. There is no problem due to this cross team honorship structure, it will have to be solved. It is expected that a governing council or board will be formed for the Champions T20 League as before.

Another major challenge in resumption of Champions League T20 will be to decide its scope. When the Champions League T20 was last played in 2014, only the teams of some major Test playing countries could participate in it. The expansion of T20 Cricket League has increased a lot in ten years. In many countries of the world, such leagues are being played, including associate countries like America-UAE along with Test playing nations.

Another big challenge will be to remove a window in the busy calendar when most players are available for the Champions T20 League. Like the previous season, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Indian Premier League (IPL) can lead it. England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) were not part of the first league but this time it could be an active member. Cricket Australia (CA), Cricket South Africa (CSA) can also be seen in an important role.
