Chandrashekhar azad attacked: Chandrashekhar Azad, president of Azad Samaj Party and Lok Sabha MP from Nagina, was attacked in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Orissa. The incident took place during a public meeting program on Tuesday (March 4). Chandrashekhar Azad claimed that the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists carried out this attack.

It is being told that a crowd of about 250 people pelted stones at the venue and attacked party workers. During this time dozens of vehicles were also damaged. Chandrashekhar Azad himself shared the information of this attack on his social media platform ex handle. He alleged that this attack was organized in an organized manner and its purpose was to crush the voice of democracy and social justice.

Azad made serious allegations against the Sangh Parivar

Chandrashekhar Azad blamed the Sangh Parivar for this incident and said that such organizations have open protection of power. He demanded the arrest of the culprits of the attack and strict legal action on them. At the same time, he also said that this attack is an attempt to suppress every voice raised for Bahujan movement, Dalit-backward society and constitutional rights.

‘We are not afraid’ – Chandrashekhar Azad’s statement

Chandrashekhar Azad said that he is not afraid of such incidents and his struggle will continue to protect democracy. He held a meeting with the workers of Bhima Army and Azad Samaj Party in Bhubaneswar and resolved to work towards strengthening the party in Orissa.

During the public meeting in Bhubaneswar, Chandrashekhar Azad said that for the last six years, the Bhim Army has been working fast here. He told that now he is going to activate Azad Samaj Party in Orissa. He said that until the people of Bahujan society are not strong in politics, their voice will not reach policy decisions.

Questions raised on the issue of reservation of Dalit-backward

Chandrashekhar Azad also questioned the discrimination against Dalits, backward and tribals in Orissa. He said that OBC class should get 27% reservation, but here they are getting only 11.25%. Similarly, 10% reservation is being given to 6% population of general category. He demanded the government to answer these issues.

He said that his fight is in line with the Constitution and they will carry forward their struggle further. He appealed to the workers to maintain discipline and work organized for the upliftment of the society. He said that until the participation of Bahujan society in the policy-making process increases, their rights cannot be protected.

Addressed to workers during public meeting

During the program, Chandrashekhar taught the workers to maintain discipline and unity. He said that those who are fighting for social change will have to learn themselves themselves and then teach others. He also said that change in society can be brought only through awareness and education.
