The Central Government is going to introduce the Waqf Amendment Bill in Parliament. But opposition is going on against this bill. Meanwhile, Syed Nasruddin Chishti, chairman of All India Sufi Sajjadanshin Council and successor of the spiritual head of Ajmer Dargah, said that we are lucky that we are living in the country of Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb. People of different cultures are living together here and this is our strength.
He said that Modi ji has ensured that ‘Saugat-e-Modi’ reached 22 lakh people of the country. I believe that the Waqf Bill needs to be amended. It is expected that this bill will bring transparency. Protests and supporting are part of democracy. If someone is protesting in a constitutional way, then there is no problem in this, but I believe that there is a need to change the Waqf.
Syed Nasruddin Chishti said that amendment does not mean that mosques or assets will be taken away. It would be wrong to say this. It is part of democracy. The government is not in any hurry, after discussion in JPC, this bill has been brought comfortably. Syed Nasruddin Chishti claimed that he is sure that after the amendment, there will be transparency in Waqf’s work and Waqf’s property will be protected. Encroachment will be removed and the fare of Waqf will increase which will be useful for the community.
At the same time, JPC Committee Chairman Jagdambika Pal said on the BJP MP and Waqf (Amendment) Bill that while many Muslim religious leaders are supporting this bill, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board is objecting to this. Why was it asked to tie a black band against this bill? The revised law has not yet come to the House.
Pal said that today Muslims are thanking Prime Minister Modi for Saugat-e-Modi .. We are talking about everyone’s development, while the Congress party, Asaduddin Owaisi and AIMPLB are looking at Muslims like a vote bank and appease.
