Cheating in 15 years of love affair: Man promised marriage

In the Thane district of Maharashtra, the police have arrested a person and his two brothers and sisters on charges of abetting a young woman to commit suicide. The case came to light when the 35-year-old unmarried victim ended her life by being fed up with repeated promises and mental harassment by her lover.

15 years relationship, still refuses to marry

Inspector Suresh Kadam of Kalyan taluka police station said that the victim was a resident of Mharal area of ​​Titwala town in Thane district. He had a love affair with a young man living in Ulhasnagar for the last 15 years. The accused youth often used to visit the victim’s house and promised to marry her. However, he kept back from marriage every time by making some excuse. Because of this, there was a dispute between the two.

Family pressure and second marriage

The accused youth’s brother and sister repeatedly explained to the victim that he should end the relationship with her, because they wanted to get her married to another girl. Five years ago, the young man married another woman at the will of his family, but despite this, he remained a relationship with the victim and repeatedly pretended to marry her.

Last quarrel and painful step of death

Meanwhile, on February 28, there was a fight between the victim and the accused once again. After this quarrel, the victim committed suicide by hanging from a fan in her house. Before committing suicide, he recorded a video in his mobile phone, in which he blamed the accused and his siblings for his death.

Police action and arrest

On the complaint of the victim’s mother, the police started investigating the case. On the basis of video messages and other evidence, the police arrested the accused youth, his brother and sister on 2 March. The age of all three is being told between 30 and 35 years. The police have registered a case against the accused under Section 108 (encouraging suicide) and section 3 (5) (collectively committed crime) of the Indian Penal Code (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita). At present, the police have started investigating the case by taking the three accused into custody.
