Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal is in the news these days for the film ‘Chhava’. During this, he remembered his old days in an interview. He says that he used to live in the chawl. At the same time, his first salary was Rs 1,500. Vicky may be the son of action director Sham Kaushal, but he has made a place in the industry with his hard work.

Recalling his struggle -filled journey, Vicky spoke to Pinkvilla. He said, ‘When I lived in the chawl, I was born there. In such a situation, my parents had to struggle more than me. We were children. We did not even know what the struggle means. Vicky further says, ‘I will not exaggerate my struggle. Because, there is a challenge in everyone’s life. Maybe, my situation may have been better than someone else, or someone else’s life would have been better than me. In the end, we all have to find the meaning of our life ourselves.
Conflict is also important in life
Vicky says, “As long as there is life, there will be struggle. If someone will lack something, then someone else is part of something. It is a part of life. But I believe that the struggles of life should be celebrated. Otherwise, what will we talk about in the interview, if you achieve anything in life without conflict, then you have nothing to tell.
How much was the first salary
Vicky Kaushal, while talking about his first salary, says, when I was doing theater, I got a check of Rs 1500 as a salary. He further says, ‘Then I used to work in production, not in acting. I used to work backstage. After the show, when that check was placed in my bag and I was standing at the station waiting for my train. I was very nervous. I caught him tightly, there was fear that he would not be lost somewhere. But yes, it was my first earning.
Vicky Kaushal’s first salary was Rs 1500, but according to reports, today he charges up to Rs 20 crore to work in a film. Vicky’s film Chhava is releasing in theaters on 14 February. Rashmika Mandana and Akshaye Khanna are in important roles with Vicky in this film.
