In the horrific stampede incident held on 2 July 2024 in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, the judicial commission has submitted its report to the government. 121 people died in this accident, while dozens of people were injured. The report of the Judicial Inquiry Commission was introduced in the cabinet, which has also been approved to be kept in the House. The report holds the organizers responsible for the stampede, while the negligence of the administration and the police has also been considered a serious lapse.
