‘Closed primary school, work on system control and long -term conceptual project of RSS’, Sonia’s prick on government education policy – Sonia Gandhi Writes Editorial on Indian Education Policy Centralization Commercialization Communication Communication POLICATION POLICATION POLICATION POLICATION POLICATION POLICY

Congress President Sonia Gandhi has said that the central government is busy implementing only three core agenda in the field of education. These agendas are Centralization, Commercialization and Communalization. Sonia Gandhi has said that the start of High-Profile National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has hidden the real mood of the government. The government is very indifferent to the education of children and youth of India.

In an article written in the country’s leading newspaper The Hindu, Sonia Gandhi wrote that in the last decade, the track record of the Central Government has clearly displayed that it is concerned about the successful implementation of only three main agenda items in education. 1- centralization of power with the Central Government

Centralization of education

The Congress President has said that in the last 11 years, the functioning of this government has been identified in power. But the most harmful results of this have been seen in the field of education. The Central Education Advisory Board met with the Ministers of Education of the Central and State Governments has not held a meeting since September 2019.

Sonia has said that even while adopting and implementing radical changes in education through NEP 2020, the Central Government did not think it appropriate to consult the state governments once on the implementation of these policies. This is a proof that she does not listen to the voice of anyone other than her voice, even on the subject which is in the concurrent list of the Indian Constitution.

According to the Congress President, the government’s policy is not only a lack of dialogue but also has a ‘tendency to bully’. Under this, the Center also stops the grants received by the state government.

Pointing to higher education, Sonia Gandhi has said that the central government has also abolished the rights of state governments in the appointment of Vice Chancellors of Vice Schools. This is an attempt to bring the subject present in the concurrent list to the center from the back door and this is an attack on federalism.

Commercialization of education

The Congress President has accused the Center that commercialization of the education system by the Narendra Modi government is opening openly, and that too in line with the new education policy. Sonia said that since 2014, we have seen 89,441 government schools closing and merging across the country. Whereas at this time 42,944 additional private schools have been established. The poor of the country have been excluded from government education and they have been put into the hands of a very expensive and without controlled private school system.

The Sonia president has said that the growing trend of corruption in our education system is the result of commercialization. From bribery scandal to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council- Naac, from the tragically disabled National Testing Agency -NTA, public education systems and agencies are constantly in the news for financial corruption.

In our public education system, it is associated with increasing corruption and pessimism government -sponsored education and commercialization.

Communalization in education

According to the Congress President, the third emphasis of the central government is on communalization. He has said that its objective is to complete the long -term conceptual project of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the Bharatiya Janata Party, including the cultivation of hatred through the education system.

Sonia has targeted the government for allegedly changing the chapter in NCERT books. Sonia has said that the textbooks of the backbone (NCERT), which are considered to be the backbone of school curriculum, have been amended with the intention of allegedly making Indian history clean. The assassination of Mahatma Gandhi and the sections associated with Mughal India have been removed from the syllabus. In addition, the preamble of the Indian Constitution was once removed from textbooks, until the public was compulsorily forced to include it due to public opposition.

Sonia has written that in our universities, we have seen that professors of the background with governance-friendly ideology have been appointed on a large scale, even if the quality of their teaching and scholarships is ridiculous. The posts of leadership in major institutions – even at the Indian Institute of Technology and the Indian Institute of Management, have been described by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru as a temple of modern India – has been reserved for people with suppressed ideology.

Sonia has said that in the last decade, our education system has been systematically freed from the spirit of public service. And the education policy has been furious with any concern of reaching the needy and its quality.

The Congress President said that the results of this effort being made for centralization, commercialization and communalism are directly on our students. This massacre of India’s public education system should end.
