Asim munir on term: Pakistan’s COAS Lt Gen Asim Munir has targeted the Shahbaz Sharif government over recent incidents. He has blamed politicians for the decline of security in Pakistan. In the security briefing to the Joint Parliamentary Committee, he has emphasized that better administration is needed to fight extremism and has emphasized on making Pakistan a rigorous state.
Along with this, Aseem Munir has also asked Islamic scholars to highlight the distorted interpretation of Islam on behalf of militants. He said that “we have to rise above our political and personal interests and work in one voice for the safety of Pakistan.” He further said that fighting Afghanistan -backed extremism is a threat of existence for Pakistan. He questioned how long Pakistan will continue to sacrifice people due to weak rule.

He criticized the dependence on the army’s sacrifice to meet the shortcomings of the government and called for structural reforms. Calling political unity, he urged the leaders to keep the differences away for Pakistan’s security. He warned the terrorists and their supporters that Pakistan would remain united to defeat them. With his determination, he expressed full confidence in God and vowed the final success.
