The 2025 general budget in the Delhi Assembly elections has shown its magic. The BJP helped to woo the middle and lower-middle class. Due to this middle class, the Aam Aadmi Party had got a double majority in the last elections. However, the middle class has always been ignored by political parties in Delhi. The budget has greatly promoted this particular class of voters. The middle and low-middle class stake in the population of Delhi is at least 70 percent.

The issue of Sheeshmahal: The Sheeshmahal issue has caused a lot of damage to the image of the Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP had already understood it. The party kept its campaign focused around this issue as it was well connected to the sentiments of Delhiites. Delhi BJP leaders had told the top leadership in a report that the issue of Arvind Kejriwal has been damaged due to this issue.

BJP’s slum migration program: According to the BJP, there has been a huge increase in 20-30 percent of the vote share, which was earlier with the Aam Aadmi Party. He launched a slum migration program for about 28 weeks, in which senior BJP leaders spent the night in slums and due to this they could be properly connected to this class.

In the last eight months, more than 20,000 RSS and VHP activists held meetings in small groups in slums to woo voters. He also helped the BJP to bring Purvanchali votes into his court.

BJP’s full focus on ground issues: During the campaign, the BJP focused on civil issues such as broken roads, poor sanitation, blocked sewage, waterlogging during the rainy season. Top BJP leaders emphasized that the party does not do Hindu-Muslim politics, because people of Delhi want better facilities and employment opportunities.

Congress spoiled AAP game: There are 14 seats in Delhi where the Congress spoiled the game of Aam Aadmi Party. These include: Timarpur, Badli, Nangloi Jat, Madipur, Rajendra Nagar, New Delhi, Jungpura, Kasturba Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Mehrauli, Chhatarpur, Sangam Vihar, Greater Kailash and Trilokpuri.
