Congress was able to win 19 seats in 2020

The Congress is part of the Grand Alliance in Bihar, of which RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) is the biggest component. In the last assembly election (2020), RJD contested 144 seats and won 75 seats. At the same time, the Congress tried his luck in 70 seats, but won only 19 seats. The CPI (CPI-ML) contested 19 seats and won 12 seats.

According to political analysts, after a weak performance in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Bihar elections are an important opportunity for the Congress so that it can reorganize the organization and strengthen its hold in the state. This deployment of supervisors is part of an organized strategy.
