- Congress’ Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan Campaign Will Start From Today

This campaign was to start from December 27 in the recent Belagavi session of Congress. But after the demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, the session was canceled in the evening and the date of the campaign was postponed.
Congress’s Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Constitution campaign will start across the country on Friday. The campaign will conclude on January 26 in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, the birthplace of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.
This campaign was to start from 27th December. On the completion of 100 years of the Belagavi session of Congress held in 1924, the party had organized a special session on 26 and 27 December.
The session had started on the scheduled date but after the demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, the session was canceled in the evening. Besides, the date of the campaign was also extended.
Regarding the campaign, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh had said that rallies will be held in every block, district and state to save the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi and the Constitution. If needed, the campaign can continue even after January 26.
Will start from 26th January Save Constitution National March
The Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting was held on 26 December, the first day of the Belagavi session. In this, it was decided to start ‘Save Constitution National March’ from 26 January 2025.
Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi gave speeches on the first day of the convention. Sonia Gandhi did not attend the convention. He addressed the workers through a letter.
After the meeting, Jairam Ramesh said- We believe that Bharat Jodo Yatra had given life to Congress. This marked an important turning point in Congress politics. We also took out Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. Now from January 26, we will start the one year long ‘Save Constitution National Pad Yatra’.
BJP had accused Congress of putting wrong map of India in its poster. BJP’s IT cell head Amit Malviya posted a picture of the wrong map on social media platform Photographs have also been posted in which Kashmir is shown as a part of Pakistan.
BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi said that the map of India presented by the Congress in Belagavi does not include Pakistan occupied Kashmir and Aksai Chin. They have done such things before also. It has now become clear that Congress’s connection with the forces that are trying to break India has become clear.
Now know about the Belagavi convention of 1924…
Belagavi was an important center of freedom struggle Belagavi was an important center in the country’s freedom struggle. Lokmanya Tilak started his ‘Home Rule League’ movement from Belgaum in 1916. The Belagavi session held in 1924 was the first and last session of the Congress which was presided over by Mahatma Gandhi.
The convention was held at a place called Vijayanagar in Tilakwadi area of Belagavi. Now the site of the Congress session has been made a famous tourist destination. A well was built there, which still exists today as a testimony of the convention.
‘Veersaudha’ memorial has been built in Belgaum to commemorate the convention. The well present in the campus is known as Congress Well.
Mahatma Gandhi was angry with the expenses incurred in the convention Mahatma Gandhi had reached Belagavi six days before the start of the convention. He wanted to bring unity between the ‘Swaraj’ faction demanding independence and the ‘No-Change’ faction favoring maintenance of the status quo under British rule.
A worker named Khemajirao Godse spent Rs 350 and built a small hut of bamboo and grass for Gandhiji. On this Gandhiji said that it is not right for an ordinary person like me to spend so much money.
A huge tent was prepared for the convention. It was as big as a circus tent and was rented for Rs 5000. An insurance of Rs 500 was also taken out to protect against fire. Gandhiji had also objected to the amount spent on decorations. He also requested to reduce the representative fee from Rs 10 to Rs 1, which was accepted.
Despite all this, Congress got a profit of Rs 773 from the Belagavi session. Of this, Rs 745 was deposited in PUCC Bank, Rs 25 was kept with the Secretary for expenses, and Rs 1 was kept with Treasurer NV Herekar for minor expenses.
