At the Jaglal Chaudhary Jayanti celebrations at the SKM Hall at Gandhi Maidan in the capital, Rahul Gandhi said that ‘there is no participation of Dalits in the media. I understand with an example, they are friends of media, they have big companies. The government of every state advertises them. So the government is directly funding them.

Jaglal Chaudhary was from Dalit family
Jaglal Chaudhary was from the Pasi community. He joined the Congress while being a medical student. He used to take care of the family by selling toddy. While being the Excise Minister, he first implemented liquor ban in Bihar.

Earlier on January 18, Rahul Gandhi attended the Constitution Security Conference in Patna. Along with this, the party’s state office also attended the program organized at Sadakat Ashram.
