Instructions for states to be alert and increase testing
The Ministry of Health is constantly instructing states to stay in alert mode and increase testing. There is also an appeal to the citizens to get the examination done immediately and follow the necessary precautions if light symptoms are seen.
Government of Karnataka released circular
The Karnataka government has taken an important decision in view of the increase in Kovid-19 cases and reopening of schools. The state’s health and family welfare department issued a circular appealing to all the parents that if children have symptoms like fever, cough, cold or other kovid, do not send them to school. This circular was released late Friday after the Kovid-19 review meeting held on 26 May under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. It has been said in the circular that if such symptoms are found in children, then let them recover completely before sending them to school and get treatment according to the advice of the doctor. If children with such symptoms come to school, then the school administration has been instructed to inform their parents and send them home.
Advice to take precautions
Similarly, if symptoms like fever or cough are also found in teacher or non-teaching staff, then they have also been advised to adopt Kovid appropriate behavior (CAB). The government has asked to take these precautions in schools.
1. Regular hand washing habit
2. Follow the courtesy of cough/sneezing
3. Protecting congestion and use of masks (where necessary)
