The youth of Bihar are being sent to Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar and Laos on tourist visa and are being subjected to cyber fraud. About 47 youths from Gopalganj district are stranded in foreign countries. It is alleged that these youth were sent by agents in the name of providing employment abroad and when they protest, they are being tortured. The involvement of cyber criminals from Pakistan and China in this whole game has come to light, which is being investigated by the team of NIA and EOU.
Wahid Roshan, son of Roshan Ali, resident of Fatehpur village of Mirganj police station area and nephew Mohd. Saud Ali was sent from Delhi to Thailand by agent Sudarjit Yadav of Prayagraj, UP. Both the youths were sent on 26 October 2024 in the name of getting them work in the mall.
After this, as soon as they landed at the airport in Thailand, both of them were received by an agent and taken to Myanmar by motorboat via river, where youth from Pakistan, China, Nepal and other countries were already engaged in cyber fraud. It is alleged that the agent has sold these youth to cyber criminals of China and Pakistan for 7 thousand US dollars (more than six lakh Indian rupees).
Roshan and Saud somehow secretly made a video and sent it requesting help from the government and administration. The youth showed the location in the video and said that an agent from UP had sent them for computer work, but here they were involved in cyber fraud. In the video the youth says that they are being tortured for protesting. Please, take me back from here to India.

Like Roshan and Wahid, Shubham Kumar of Hathua police station area also got stuck in Cambodia. Pressure was put on him for cyber fraud, but he ran away and reached the Indian Embassy. With the help of the embassy, Wapal has returned home.
Shubham Kumar has filed a case against five people in the cyber police station in this matter, in which he told the police that the agent had sent him to work in the mall at a salary of Rs 70 thousand per month, but after going to Thailand, he took him to Cambodia from there. Went there, where he was engaged in cyber fraud. On protesting, electric shocks were being given. Somehow he ran away and reached the embassy, after which he was able to return home.
Shubham has said in the complaint that like him, many youth of Bihar were trapped in the web of cyber thugs. Shubham told that his father had died due to Covid. Due to poor financial condition, he had to go to another country for a job. NIA had reached Gopalganj to investigate this case, in which many places were raided and documents were recovered. Now Bihar Police agency EOU is investigating this case along with NIA.
Roshan Ali, father of the youth stranded in Myanmar, said that apart from his son, many youths are stranded there. Whenever he gets a call, he cries and says to call him immediately. The whole family is hurt. The government is requested to help. Mahmuda Khatoon said that we are worried about our child. Stuck in Thailand. Returned home quickly. This is my demand from the government.
