Modi and Yunus arrived in Thailand to participate in the Bimstec Summit. After the meeting, the two leaders had a bilateral meeting.
Prime Minister Modi met Bangladesh Chief Advisor Mohammad Yunus. During this, he appealed to hold elections in Bangladesh soon. Also asked to avoid rhetoric that damages relationships. Both leaders reached Thailand. India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Egypt gave information about this meeting.

2. Two petitions against the Waqf Amendment Bill, protests in 8 states of the country
The opposition has reached the Supreme Court against the Waqf Amendment Bill. Congress MP from Kishanganj in Bihar Mohammad Javed and AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi have filed a petition. The bill has been passed by the Lok Sabha-Rajya Sabha. Now it will be sent to the President. This will become a law after their consent.
People arrived in Sambhal Mosque to do havan: Protests are taking place in the country against the bill. Muslims took to the road in West Bengal, Gujarat, Bihar, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Assam. Police are on high alert in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
