US President Donald Trump on Saturday threatened to snatch his American citizenship by staging a scathing attack on talk show host and actress Rosie O’Donnell. Trump’s statement came after the criticism made by O’Donal about the severe floods in Texas and the administration’s response to it.
Trump wrote on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’, “Because Rosie O’Donnel is not in the interest of our great country, I am seriously considering that his citizenship should be withdrawn. He is a threat to humanity, and if Ireland wants to keep them, then stay there. Stay there. God Blaces America!”
Significantly, Rosie O’Donnell expressed grief over the flood in Texas on July 4 by posting a Tiktok video earlier this month, in which 119 people died. In this video, he criticized the policy of Trump administration, which cut the funds of government agencies related to environmental monitoring and disaster forecast.
O’Donnell had said, “What happened in Texas is a terrible story. When the President ends the initial warning system and the capabilities of the meteorological department, we can see such results daily.”
