During a big police action in Darbhanga, Bihar, there was chaos when the police team was attacked by the local people. This incident is from Usari village of Kusheshwarsthan police station area.
The police of Bahedi police station had come to raid for the arrest of the arms supplier in a murder case. ASI Upendra Singh of Bahedi police station has been seriously injured in the attack, who has been admitted to DMCH Hospital after primary treatment. At present, his condition is said to be out of danger.
In fact, during the investigation of a recent murder case in Bahedi, the police came to know that the weapon used in this murder was supplied by a criminal named Panchmalal Yadav. After this, the police of Bahedi police station took cooperation from Kusheshwarsthan police station and jointly raided Usri village.
As soon as the police succeeded in arresting Panchmalal Yadav, then dozens of people of the village suddenly attacked. The attackers first surrounded the police and beat ASI Upendra Singh fiercely and tried to snatch his service revolver.
However, the promptness of other policemen survived snatching weapons. The mob rescued Panchmalal from police custody and started throwing stones at the police. In view of the situation, other policemen retaliated and chased the crowd and took the injured ASI safely and took him to the hospital.
The police have arrested the accused’s brother Awadhesh Yadav from the spot, who is being described as the PACS president of the village and has a domineering image at the local level. Awadhesh is accused of attacking the police and cooperation in exorcising the accused.
Rural SP Alok Kumar confirmed the incident and said that Panchmalal Yadav is a professional criminal and many criminal cases have already been registered on him. The police has registered an FIR in the entire case and has intensified further action. At present, the police is raiding possible locations in search of Panchmalal Yadav and additional police force has been deployed in the area.
