Rajnath singh in sco meeting: Just five years after the clash of the Galwan Valley (June 2020), a senior minister of India is going on a tour of China. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is going to Chingdao in China to participate in the meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) (June 25-26). During this time, Rajnath Singh will also hold a meeting with the defense ministers of China and Russia.
According to the Ministry of Defense, a high-level delegation of India along with Rajnath Singh is also going to China to attend the SCO conference. Several issues are expected to be discussed in the SCO meeting including regional and international peace and security, anti -terrorism efforts and cooperation between SCO member countries.

In this meeting, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will call for joint efforts to express India’s commitment to SCO’s principles, underlines India’s vision for international peace and security, to end terrorism and extremism in the region. With this, we will emphasize the need for more trade, economic cooperation and contact between the countries involved in the SCO. According to the Ministry of Defense, Rajnath Singh, China and Russia will also hold bilateral meetings with the Ministers of Defense countries.

Since the clashes of the Galwan Valley, there was tremendous tension between India and Chinese forces on the Line of Actual Control/LAC adjacent to East Ladakh.
