A fire broke out at the Oxylary Power Unit (APU) of an Air India plane at Delhi Airport. The aircraft came to Delhi from Hong Kong. All the passengers and crew members of the aircraft are safe.

The oxylary power unit is at the back of the plane in his tail. Fire there can damage the body of the plane. It also keeps control, lights and AC on when the engine of the plane is closed.

The plane’s main engines are usually closed while standing on the terminal, while electricity is supplied from the oxylary power unit. This reduces fuel consumption.
