Delhi Assembly Election Result 2025: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah took a dig at opposition parties after indicating the major victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the initial trends in the Delhi Assembly elections. He shared a post on social media and wrote – “And fight”. His statement is being considered a gesture between the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

When the BJP took a lead in about 50 out of 70 seats in Delhi, National Conference leader Omar Abdullah shared a GIF (GIF) in which it was written – “And fight, fight, fight, finish each other” . Through this post, he sarcastically on the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party that the BJP has benefited from their mutual fight. He wrote in the caption of his post – “And fight among themselves”.

AAP-Congress wrangling benefits BJP!

In Delhi, the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party had formed an alliance in the Lok Sabha elections, but in the assembly elections, both decided to contest separate elections. During this time, the leaders of both parties continued to accuse each other and were accused of BJP’s ‘B-Team’. These differences are also considered a major reason for the defeat of the opposition.

Congress loss due to non -alliance in Haryana

In Haryana too, the Congress lost a crushing defeat where the BJP was in power since 2014 and despite the anti-incumbency (anti-incumbency), the Congress had to face defeat. It is believed that the Congress suffered losses in many seats due to lack of alliance between Congress and AAP. According to election analysts, AAP broke into the possible votes of the Congress, which benefited the BJP.

Questions raised on India alliance

Omar Abdullah has already raised questions about the decision to fight differently in Delhi elections. He had said that the India alliance has no clear leadership or agenda and if it was made only for the Lok Sabha elections, it should be dissolved. He also said that the Congress should not accept that it will naturally lead this alliance.

After the defeat in Haryana and Maharashtra, the Congress is facing criticism of allies. At the same time, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has also submitted a claim to the leadership of India alliance and she is also getting support from some parties. Omar Abdullah also said that the Congress needs to work harder to prove and strengthen its leadership.
