Arvind Kejriwal, who defeated former Chief Minister Sheila Dixit from New Delhi assembly seat, was defeated on Saturday (February 8, 2025) a decade later. For the first time in 2013, he became an MLA from here and continued his victory till 2020, but this time the Pravesh Verma of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has defeated him. Sheila Dixit’s son Sandeep Dixit was also in the fray on a Congress ticket. However, he has also lost, but he took revenge for his mother’s defeat.
Arvind Kejriwal has lost by more than four thousand votes, while Sandeep Dixit got a total of 4,541 votes. Arvind Kejriwal became an MLA after defeating Sheila Dixit on the seat on which he lost his seat.
