BJP has given ticket to Shikha Rai against AAP candidate and minister Saurabh Bhardwaj from Greater Kailash.

BJP released its fourth list for Delhi Assembly elections on Thursday. 9 candidates have been announced in this list. BJP has declared candidates for 68 seats in its total four lists, while leaving one seat each for allies JDU and LJP (Ram Nivas).

BJP has given ticket to Shikha Rai against AAP candidate and minister Saurabh Bhardwaj from Greater Kailash. Whereas Anil Vashishtha has been fielded against AAP’s Delhi President and Babarpur candidate Gopal Rai.

At the same time, Poonam Sharma has been made the candidate against Congress national spokesperson Ragini Nayak from Wazirpur seat. Poonam is a corporation councilor from Ashok Vihar.

BJP’s three lists

January 12: One name in the list, fielded Mohan Bisht from Mustafabad. There was only one name in the third list of BJP. The party had announced the name of Mohan Bisht from Mustafabad. Actually, a day earlier BJP had released the second list. In this, the ticket of five-time MLA Mohan Bisht from Karawal Nagar was canceled and the ticket of Kapil Mishra was announced.

Expressing his displeasure over this, Bisht had indicated on January 12 that he may contest the elections as an independent candidate from the same seat. After this, in the evening BJP released the third list of one name and declared him as the candidate from Mustafabad.

January 11: Ticket of one MLA canceled, repeat of another BJP had announced candidates for 29 seats in the second list. The ticket of Laxmi Nagar MLA Abhay Verma was repeated. Harish Khurana, son of former CM Madanlal Khurana, was given the ticket from Moti Nagar.

The party had changed its previous candidates on 26 seats in this list. There were only 2 candidates who got tickets even after losing the 2020 elections. In this, Tilakram Gupta is from Trinagar and Pradyumna Rajput is from Dwarka.

Nine councilors were fielded in the second list. It also includes AAP councilor Priyanka Gautam, who joined BJP last month. He is currently a councilor from Kaundli ward. Former mayor Shyam Sharma has been fielded from Hari Nagar. Last time Tejinder Pal Singh Bagga had contested elections from this seat.

Nominated councilor Rohtas Bidhuri got the ticket in place of Vikram Bidhuri, who had lost to BJP twice on Tughlakabad seat. Vikram is the brother of BJP candidate from Kalkaji seat, Ramesh Bidhuri.

January 4: Ticket for Pravesh Verma against Kejriwal

There were 29 names in the first list of BJP also. In this, the ticket of Pravesh Verma was announced against Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi seat. Whereas Ramesh Bidhuri was given ticket against CM Atishi from Kalkaji. Congress has given ticket to Alka Lamba on this seat.

The party had again given tickets to most of the candidates who had got tickets in the last assembly elections in the first list. In the list of 29 candidates, 13 candidates have been repeated, while 16 new candidates have been fielded.

AAP has announced candidates for all 70 seats. AAP has declared the names of 70 candidates in a total of 5 lists between November 21 and December 20, i.e. in 30 days. Voting in Delhi on 5 February, result on 8 February The Election Commission announced Delhi Assembly elections on 7 January. Voting will be held on February 5 in a single phase on all 70 seats of Delhi. The results will come on 8 February. It will take about 35 days from the day of announcement of dates to complete the election process i.e. till 10th February.
