Delhi CM Rekha Gupta: Rekha Gupta took oath as Chief Minister of Delhi at Ramlila Maidan today (20 February) in the afternoon. She became the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi. With this, she also became the 5th woman Chief Minister of BJP. Before them, the names of Sushma Swaraj, Uma Bharti, Vasundhara Raje, Anandi Ben Patel are named in this list. However, till now only Vasundhara Raje has been able to remain the Chief Minister for the entire 5 years.
BJP’s record of becoming the first woman Chief Minister is in the name of Sushma Swaraj. Sushma took over the post of Chief Minister of Delhi in the year 1998. However, his term was just 52 days. After this, the BJP was out of power in the election.
Uma Bharti could not even complete his tenure
In the assembly elections held in Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of Uma Bharti, the Bharatiya Janata Party had cleared the Congress. The BJP managed to get a one -sided majority with 173 seats, while the Congress was reduced to just 38 seats. After this strong victory, Uma Bharti became the Chief Minister but she could not stand even a year on this post. Due to estrangement from LK Advani, he had to leave the post 259 days after becoming CM.
Vasundhara Raje became Chief Minister twice
Along with Uma Bharti, the BJP won the Rajasthan assembly elections under the leadership of Vasundhara Raje in 2003. Vasundhara successfully completed her 5 -year term. After this, in the year 2013, she once again became the Chief Minister. This time too, she remained the whole 5 years CM.

Anandi Ben was 2 years CM
When Narendra Modi left the post of Chief Minister of Gujarat after becoming the Prime Minister of the country, Anandi Ben Patel was made the next CM. She remained the Chief Minister for the remaining 2 years and 77 days of the Gujarat government.
